A mini nest plus a small outworld for your new ant colony

A nice combination to grow your colony during the founding period.

The nest has several exits to easily expand it if necessary, so you can make it a larger nest or connect a Thermo / Hydro meter (available separately).

The outworld has four exits so you can easily prepare it with whatever your colony needs at that moment

The nest has two rooms so that the colony can decide for itself where they like to sit, close to the moisture or a little further away, the same goes for if you put a heat cable under the nest (which is possible with our nest feet that come loose). can be ordered).

This set includes:

- The nest and Outworld of PLA (3D printed) 5x5cm
- Separate white removable inner part PLA (3D printed).
- The nest has a 3mm transparent plexiglass cover with a hole for humidification.
- The Outworld has a removable cover with small (0.5mm) holes for ventilation.
- 7 nest gates,
5 closed gates to close the extra openings
1 open gate to make it possible to connect more elements.
1 "double open" to link the nest and outworld together.

• The white removable inner part is ideal if the outside has a different color than white, so you can always see the ants clearly.
• The plexiglass is mounted with Allen screws that are mounted in copper threads, which makes disassembly easy, for example to clean the nest.
• The opening port accepts a small hose (OD 10mm) or a large hose (ID 12mm) (not included).
• Humidification chamber filled with Melamine Sponge for good moisture absorption, too much moisture runs out on the side so that it does not run into the nest and a stainless steel mesh keeps the ants out of the reservoir and can be easily cleaned or replaced if necessary.
• Beautiful natural chambers with up to three opening options (10mm) allowing expansion for, for example, the temperature and humidity sensor and a second nest.

OPTIONS:
• The nest+outworld combination can be ordered in several colours.

• 3mm red (transparent) acrylic cover plate, so it is dark for (most) ants in the nest, while you can look into it to follow the progress.

• An extra Outworld Extension, which raises the outworld (by 17mm) to fit a liquid feeder (1 or 2 ml) if your new colony needs a little more liquid, for example if you have to leave for a while.

• Several and other types of nest gates can be ordered separately.

• Nest legs can be ordered separately that ensure that your module is slightly higher so that a heat cable can pass underneath.

B.A.C MODULAR SYSTEM
This Nest combination is part of our modular system, which ensures that you never buy something that you will no longer use after your colony has grown.
The modular system is easy to expand with other components.
All modules are 5 cm or a multiple of this (these are for example 5x5)
