Ant Nest Naturel Expansion Hub 5x5 module

*This is not a standalone ant nest.*

This is an ant nest expansion designed to create additional space for a nest/formicarium or to serve as a portal for the various nest expansions within our modular nest system.

The nest expansion is perfect as a passage to other options. You can connect multiple nests, drinking hubs, or outdoor area to it.
Additionally, the ant expansion is useful for creating extra space for a nest that is too small.
With the option for a red nest cover, the hub can be easily integrated beside your existing nest.

This set includes:

• 3D-printed PLA nest expansion in a 5x5 layout.
• separate removable inner section also made from 3D-printed PLA.
• clear plexiglass cover, 3mm thick.
• 4 nest ports: 2 sealed for closing off extra openings and 2 open to connect the expansion to the nest or an outdoor area.

• The removable white inner section is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, allowing clear visibility of the ants.
• The plexiglass is secured with hex screws inserted into copper threads, making disassembly easy, for instance, to clean the nest.
• The port with an opening can accommodate a small tube (OD 10mm) or a larger one (ID 12mm) (tubes not included).
• There is space under the hub for a heating cable if needed, requiring the use of nest feet (not included by default).

OPTIONS:
• The Hub is available in multiple colors to choose from.

• A 3mm red (transparent) acrylic cover is available, which provides darkness inside the hub/nest for most ants while allowing you to observe the progress.

• Additional types of nest ports can be purchased separately.

This nest expansion is part of our modular system, ensuring that you never buy something you won't use as your colony grows.
The modular system is easily expandable with other components.
All modules are 5 cm or multiples thereof (this one, for example, is 5x5).
