Ant Queen Founding Pod Module.
A queen ant doesn't require much space when she just start laying eggs.
This Queen Pod is ideal for the initial phase (founding phase) of your new ant colony. Place your queen ant in the tube, which serve as a formicarium, and observe how she and the colony develop.
Included in this set:
1 Queen Pod (3D printed) measuring 2,5x5cm
A separate white removable inner part made of PLA (3D printed)
1 test tubes measuring 16x100
A 3mm transparent acrylic cover with ventilation holes
3 nest ports:
2 closed ports to seal off the outworld
1 open port if you wish to expand the small outworld with a tube
And the special port (with O-ring) to connect the Test Tube.
• The white removable inner part is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, ensuring you can always see the ants clearly.
• The port with an opening can accommodate a small tube (OD 10mm) or a large tube (ID 12mm) (not included).
• Feeding your new colony in the outworld is easy by lifting the acrylic plate.
• You can attach the test tubes to the Pod with a twisting motion. The O-rings ensure a perfect seal and prevent the test tubes from coming loose on their own.
• There is space beneath the test tubes for a possible heating cable.

• Various types of nest ports can also be ordered separately.
• Separate nest Feet are available for purchase, which elevate your module slightly, allowing space for a heat cable to pass underneath.

This ant test tube nest connector is part of our modular system, ensuring that you only invest in components that will remain useful as your ant colony grows. The modular system is easily expandable with other components. All modules are 5 cm or multiples thereof, and all individual parts fit on all modules.
